BLE tag tracking can be configured to run with different strategies. Each strategy answers a use case and hardware needs.
2D Position mode
2D Position mode approach is used when one needs to know the approximated real time position of an asset. This approach is the most precise as well as the most hardware demanding. It requires a high dongle density with directional antennas.
Attractor Position mode
Attractor Position mode approach is used when one needs zone level detection. When a tag is in the proximity of a uSensor (depending on inapp configured threshold), the tag is considered in the zone of influence of the uSensor. We infer that the tag is located around the uSensor.
Fusion strategy associates both 2D Position mode and Attractor Position mode. When a tag is in the proximity of a uSensor configured as a proximity attractor uSensor, the tag position is calculated with Attractor Position mode strategy. If the tag is not under any proximity attractor uSensor, its position is then computed with a 2D Position mode strategy.
