Hardware used for BLE tag tracking solution.
A tag is the main source for positioning. In this example, it has been designed to be the size of a credit card and powered by two button cells. Ubudu may sometimes refer to them using "uTag" name, since Ubudu can design specific tags for specific needs. But in practice standard BLE devices can operate as tags.
A uSensor BLE is a bluetooth device which can advertise, scan or both a the same time. A uSensor BLE is the primary source of BLE data received by the server.
They are powered by USB when plugged on a uGateway (see below) and can use directional or omnidirectional antennas (see below).
A uGateway is a small linux server which can power 7 uSensors BLE. Its purpose is to collect and aggregate all dongle scanned data. This aggregation is broadcasted through ethernet.
A uSensor BLE with a screwed directional antenna. This type of antenna is mostly used for Estimated 2D Position mode strategy. its detection zone is shaped like a cone.
A uSensor BLE with a screwed omnidirectional antenna. This type of antenna is mostly used for Proximity attractor mode strategy. Its detection zone is shaped like a sphere.
